Gun shot??

Team Florida Xtreme Masters sets off the first gunshot of the race, as they blow out a bike tire on the ride down from the falls. The team member was running tubeless tires with rim brakes. Apparently the heat generated from brakes on the 25% downhill caused the rim to heat up and blow out the tire! They managed to change out the tire with a spare, and were back on the course to Lindsey Ford (TA2) by 8:50am.
